Auspicioso debut: Colombia inicia con victoria en el Mundial femenino sub 20

La Selección Colombia inició su camino en la Copa Mundial Femenina Sub-20 2024. El cuadro cafetero enfrentó en la primera fecha a la Selección de Australia, que demostró un alto nivel en el compromiso que se disputó en el estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campín.

A la cita mundialista, acudieron más de 30.000 aficionados, quienes apoyaron a la tricolor durante los 90 minutos.

Durante los primeros minutos de juego, ambas selecciones no querían arriesgar y aunque Colombia dominaba en la posesión de balón, las australianas no cedían espacios para llegar al arco defendido por Chloe Lincoln.

Con Linda Caicedo comandando el ataque desde el primer minuto, el cuadro cafetero fue el que generó las primeras opciones de gol, sin embargo, la guardameta visitante respondió y no dejó que el balón entrará.

El dominio del balón, hasta el minuto 30, era de Colombia, que con Karla Viancha y Gabriela Rodríguez, buscaban romper la igualdad. Así mismo, Australia, con dos remates al arco, intentó sorprender, pero la portera Luisa Agudelo, brilló con su talento.

Durante los primeros 45 minutos, ningún equipo logró anotar y en tablas, se fueron al descanso.

Yunaira López puso a celebrar a la hinchada tricolor

Para la segunda parte, Yunaira López fue quien abrió el marcador a favor del cuadro dirigido por Carlos Paniagua.

Con esta anotación al minuto 57, la tricolor se colocó parcialmente 1-0 sobre el conjunto australiano. 

Desde ese momento, las colombianas empezaron a defender los tres puntos, pero cuando el reloj marcaba el minuto 71, Indiana Dos Santos marcó lo que sería la igualdad para las visitantes, sin embargo, tras una revisión del VAR, la anotación fue anulada y el juego continúo con Colombia en la delantera.

Linda Caicedo amplio la diferencia y marcó el 2-0

Colombia, sin duda, era superior en la cancha y producto de esto, sobre el 77, Linda Caicedo marcó la segunda anotación de la noche tras quedar habilitada frente al arco.

Australia no encontró el rumbo durante la parte final del compromiso y aunque tuvo algunas oportunidades dentro del área que era defendida por Luisa Agudelo, no logró conectar ninguna anotación.

Con este resultado, Colombia sumó sus primeros tres puntos en el grupo A y quedó liderando la zona tras la igualdad entre México y Camerún.

La tricolor volverá a la acción el próximo martes 3 de septiembre frente a Camerún en un duelo que se disputará en el estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campín a partir de las 8:00 p.m. (hora colombiana).
